I don't like some of the angles...so I'd have to see them in person to know if I really like them. I'm not a huge fan of the Challengers in the first place. When it comes to the "retro" looks of the Mustang, Camaro, & Challenger...Chrysler missed the mark. The huge flat sides of the car are reminiscent of those awful Pontiac Aztek vans.
IMHO

last i knew, Plymouth didn't exist as a brand any more.. but Dodge did make a winged car called a "Daytona" back in the day..
but no matter what badging it has, the word i would use to describe it starts with the letter "f" and ends in "ugly".

Almost nobody liked the '70 Plymouth Superbird or the '69 Charger Daytona back when they were new, dealers back then had a hard time selling the ones they had. Now they're highly coveted pieces of NASCAR and musclecar history.
I kinda dig those new Superbirds.
It's good to see that someone still recognizes the significance of the old winged warriors of the high banks and went to the trouble to duplicate that unusual look using the new Challenger body.

The nose is just too swooped for me. If they could manage to pie cut the fender to bring the hood line down just an inch it might look a lot better IMHO.

I think that if they took the wing down a few inches, it would give the car the look they were trying to achieve. The car would still have the trademark wing, but with a more modern look.

It looks a lot better than the progress pics that were circulating last year.
Not horrid, but not my cup of tea.

Too short for the nose and tail. The base body is chunkier than the original, and looked "lower" and "longer". While they're not my cup of tea, the originals at least looked more balanced. These in the pics look to bulky and stubby with a pointed nose on the front and a crazy tail. Just doesn't fit.

man... someone call up Bill Hines and section up one of those challengers to get rid of the slab sides..
and to these cars too!

Yeah, the front and rear designs off of the Daytona and the quarters and doors from the bird with a different paint job, dark grey maybe? and definitely BA.

I'll agree with you on that, certainly.
It looks like a hot wheels toy. I think the reference above to a cartoon is spot on. lol
I suppose the charger is out of the question though. That tail wouldn't look quite right with 4 sets of door handles.

Yikes! another retro-abomination.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/07/2m6rc4i-1.jpg
Why I do not like it:
1- there was no challenger super-bird
2- the wing is ridiculously tall
3- the front 'smile' grille looks retarded
4- the front end is too stubby for the nose

the 2010 camaro with the 69 grill is a mess of different angles.

I'm really getting sick of these shops hopping on the retro bandwagon. these things are fcking stupid. worse is the dumbass posers who will buy them, w/ automatics most likely.

If these shops wanna hop on the retro bandwagon they should atleast try to design something, instead of ripping off the design verbatim (word for word= design for design).
I'm getting the feeling this thread is kinda on the fence, most people think it's ok, far from great...
We should leave the slab sided challengers out of this for now, after all, they cause their own problems. These Daytona ad-ons would look much better if they worked well with the design of the car instead of directly mimicking the originals. Shorten the wing (Maybe change the side profile a little). Slicing a new angle out of the fender would better match the nose. I agree with the above comment, the yuppy smile needs to go. And the adhered side vents need to go too...
These company's are trying to save money by limiting the panels they have to "recreate" (New fenders, new doors, etc.) In that case....then yea, maybe they should stay off the wagon. HAHA

I am not a fan of any of the American retro cars (even the factory ones) but these go above and beyond...horrible.
They do look like something out of a certain cartoon movie.... even have the smile

I wish someone would convert an actual 4 door charger.... the cars do look better in person, Id hate to see the bill on them.... Id drive it, wish dodge would make some newer version....

2- the wing is ridiculously tall
3- the front 'smile' grille looks retarded
4- the front end is too stubby for the nose
5- the side mirrors look awful
6- rims lack any depth. Does not mimick Magnum wheels
7- hood bulges are unsightly not retro
8- Did someone say wrong car, well I'll say it again.
9- modified door panels look wrong
10- looks like a toy DUB reject

I'm not sure what the complaints are about the stubby nose angle.
The original noses were pretty stubby too, at least when viewed in terms of the whole car's appearance.
