I followed him into a parking garage in Santa Monica.

Seems he just picked up the car last week. The front end made the car "Affordable". Everyone walked away from it, Go figure! It looked like the paint was put on with a brush, The interior is a crappy button and tuck.

He is going to fix it back to stock as the $$ permit.

I wonder why the builder stopped at just the frontend.

Is that the same car that was in Ebay?

It may have been. He mentioned that he had long emails back and forth with the guy.

It has a pretty healthy 383 in it.

And a big short when you shut the hood, He couldnt get the parking lights to turn off.

Did you happen to see what it went for? Still have the eBay# for it?

Yep, same car. Wow, I was thinking more in the $4000 ballpark! I hope this kid did not spend anywhere near the $9000 the deadbeat buyer said he would give.

He is going to get rid of the front end right away. If anyone is interested I can try and track him down. I told him about this place, maybe he will show up.

I would buyu it for $9000 in a heartbeat. Change fenders, paint a front clip, couple grand, relist it on e bay and get $17k.

That da boy, now your talkin. 9K isn't bad...its still a clean 69...with Downsyndrome. Looking at closer, what did they do? Graft an 87 nose to the 69 fenders? "Truly an awesome spectical". See if you can get better underhood shots. edit: nevermind I read the ebay ad. doi! :hammer:

Yea, I guess I can see your point. I think this kid bought it to enjoy so it was money well spent. Thankfully hes going back to stock with the frontend!

The nose was grafted on just in front of the wheels. Sliced off the 69 fenders and graft on the 84s. The thing needs rewiring BAD. He got lucky in the fact that just about everything can be had for that car.

I saw it on a car transport going down I95 about three weeks ago in northern Virginia. I have some crappy pics that my girlfriend tried to take while we driving at about 80mph. My camera is at work I will post the pics tomorrow.

As long as it does not have much rust on it and runs I'd pay 9k in a heartbeat too and pop on another front clip. Why, Why, Why, did someone do that? Is there really glue that powerful out there? :screwy:
