I love the elements of this '32; smooth, but not TOO smooth (like Lil John Bettera-era smooth, that was too smooth), whitewalls, but good modern sizes, the whole thing is just 'right'.

Haha, right....
It's a nice car....but off the shelf Wheel Vintiques wires, Coker wide whites, and green paint. Dearborn Deuce body, looks like a Progressive Auto chassis. The flathead probably came from H&H.....well done, but built from a catalog and kinda boring honestly.

X2. It is a very nice car and quite slick, but the radials kinda kill it for me. Needs some bias plies to make it look period correct and "right" to me.
But, I wouldn't kick it outta my garage!! Lol

Catalog built cars...I like that, though it doesn't make much sense.
Most of the cars on this forum, could have off the shelf Rushforth Wheels, Toyo tires, PPG paint. Anvil CF body parts, AME chassis, the engine might come from a Corvette, or from GM direct...still catalog built, it's just PT.
I personally like this '32...I'm attracted to all styles of cars...Donks I can't get along with it, but yea, that's a different story haha:hah:

I like it with the classic spoke wheels, glad to see people doin something kinda different ! I like this one with modern wire wheels ! Super clean, wickedly wild and different IMO.

Most the cars here have factory frames (or subframes...) and bodies, regardless of what is bolted to them. And there are numerous scratch built suspensions and custom made supercharger and turbo setups.
That roadster is 100% brand new parts with the possible exception of the engine block. Everything else on it was made in the last 10 years. There's nothing outlandish or out of the ordinary, it is a very "safe" build. There's nothing wrong with that, but it just doesn't have the appeal that a legitimate Ford does, or a completely hand built car like Cruiser posted. Anything the Webb's put together is a guaranteed hit.

Like I said in the thread title, to me the wheel and paint choices were interesting.
They are interesting, to me, because most of the time I see a lot of black paint and a lot of billet wheels on 32's.
I didn't comment on how interesting or uninteresting the rest of the car might be. :)

If you want to see more '32's with non billet wheels, you should check out the Rumbler's show in August.

understand. it's a lot easier to build a hot rod these days. all it takes is a credit card w/ a high limit and an internet connection.

Darrin, I did a 69 Mustang for a customer a few years back in Lime Gold. I tried to talk him out of that color but when I finished it the color had grown on me. It turned out to be one of my favorite Mustang colors. If you notice Ford brought that color back. Some greens can look very nice.
