was thinkin michelin or nitto
255 35 19
305 35 20

235 35 19
285 30 20

this about right ?
way too many choices and you kinda only get 1 shot.

also was told a 275 30 or 35 19 for the front.
some say the wider on the front drives like crud.

any input is appreciated.

ON a 68-72 A body, like what you have, you are blessed with big wheel wells front and rear. Awesome.

That being said, the exhaust bends in the rear is the biggest limiting factor. If it is out of the way, run a 305/35/20, if it is in the way, and you are not willing to trim or roll the outer fender lip, than a 275/40/20 works well. As far as a 285/30/20, its short, and I would only do that on a car lowered more than 3", or on Air Suspension.

As far as tire brand, I can't say enough good things about Nitto. The tires just plain out work, and are what I consider to be the BEST tire out there for the money. Sure, Michelin makes one bad ass tire, but consider the cost vs. the nitto, and I would choose the Nitto hands down everytime. And the new NT05 is just awesome. Works REALLY well for autox cars that are also street driven, an the sizes are pretty friendly to the type of cars we outfit.

Call if you have any questions.
