I'm debating on installing inner fenders on a first gen camaro. I could use some pros and cons from some people on here. The camaro is going to a pro touring style car. (weekend driver) Fiber glass hood and fenders I'm most likey goin to have the cage come through the firewall and end up down to the subframe. If I do that, factory inners will be hard to fit. What do u guys think?

Inner fenders will help with resale value, there are many cars with down bars in the engine bay that have inner fenders, if your not running a turbo or super charger you should have plenty of room. If you are going to make it a real simple car then they may not be needed but if you can run them I would.

Thanks for the info, the resale value of the car is already down the ****ter..... With all the fiberglass, and the reworked rearend for the 4 link and all the sheet metel from china... LoL
Right now I'm all about keepin it simple and lite.

If you can fit the inner fender wells in which you should be able to I would definitly install them...have some support for the glass fenders plus if it is going to be a weekend driver as you said it will keep all the road grime off the engine and under the hood

After more thinking.... And more beer.... I think you guys are right, I'm goin to install them. I have glass inners, I might aswell use em. I hate cleaning engine bays so that's more reason to install them.

The glass fenders will need all of the support they can get and adding the inners will help. Hopefully you have street glass and not racing glass or you will definately need the down bars to stop the flex that will crack the glass eventually. Reinforce the mounting points if possible to help out , aluminum plates and steel fender washers to clamp and spread the load can really help.
It will be interesting to see how well it all holds up to the track and auto x abuse ?
