I'm looking for a matte black or dark grey color code similar to ring brothers accent colors...anyone have any suggestions

Eastwood may have what you're looking for. If not exactly maybe you can mix your own. I've never used anything other than the satin chassis black. It'd be worth a call. The link indicates that the colors on the chart have a satin equivalent.

This car was at a Goodguys show last month. I'm not sure the finish either but I like it.

I'm pretty certain that Firebird was built at Pinkee's Rod Shop and I do believe that the paint and body work was done at Nice Rides (http://www.niceridesrestoration.com/contact/) in LaSalle, Colorado. Give them a call and ask about the color. I don' think its proprietary.

Correct the Firebird was built by Pinkees. Great car. I have a few more pictures of the car and engine compartment if you need them.

I saw the car at the Loveland, Colorado Good Guys show.

just pick out a base color and use ppgs "flexed 'n flat" clear.. works like a dream and allows you to choose how glossy or flat you want it!
