Does anyone make the First Gen Camaro Spoiler out of fiberglass still? I want to fab in a couple of those Pencil Projector Driving lamps, but the one I have looks like ABS, and as I am looking, I have not seen any that are fiberglass. It would make it easier to cut a couple of holes in the front, then glass in the buckets from the back side. It could be one of those almost invisable mods on my 67 that you would have to take two looks to really see.

I assume you are talking about the front spoiler (a.k.a. chin spoiler), correct? Have you considered one of the fiberglass lower valances that incorporates the driving lights from the '69 camaro? I thought Marquez and Muscle Rodz were working on these. Not exactly what you were looking for but would provide a similar result with not much effort (more cash though).

In my opinion that would look better than putting the lights in the chin spoiler. With the lights in the chin spoiler I would be worried about them getting damage from thermal shock (cracking) if you got caught in the rain and went through a large puddle (if the lights were on and hot). That was a problem with the fog lights on the Ford Lightnings, lots of broken lenses.

Yes, I actually remember that. With the 1979 Ford Mustang Pace Cars with the Marshal Front fog lamps, The front lenses would tend to crack for the same reason. Thanks for the reminder.

Here is another Euro Camaro that just finished the Restoration. His lamps are behind the grill, I just did not want to restrict the Air Flow, and if I change to the 69 Lower Valence, Which I have seen done, It will really limit the Air going in that area. I am pushing a 383, and really want to keep it cool.

Here is a pic of the 69 lower. Not bad, but it's been done.

ANVIL make a carbon fiber lower spoiler sometimes you can get a deal on one that has scratches or the CF didn"t set straight if you going to cut it up anyways try that route

You might try VFN and see if they still make them, with all of the new stuff out there glass is not really the way to go unless you really like doing glass work and repairs. Sooner or later you will hit it on something!

There is more than enough airflow that can go through the upper portion of the grill and if you do run into a problem you can make it a bottom feeder by using the kit that will be coming out that is like the one on Mark Steilows Red Devil.

Do what you want with the lower valance and you will be fine.
