i've seen a few forums add the below:

(https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/07/multipage-1.gif 1 (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24766) 2 (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24766&page=2) 3 (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24766&page=3) ... Last Page (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24766&page=4) view all (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24766&showall=1))

i kinda like being able to click the "view all" link as it will load all posts that a thread contains...even threads that contain 1000+ posts.

any cons to such a set up? :dunno:

There are some options in your user CP upper left. Then go to "Edit Options" then scroll to "Thread Display Options", there are 3 options. 40 posts per page is max, but you can change the "Default Page Options to Show All"

Larry decides this stuff and I know he's working on updating some day.

Loading all posts will probably use up some server capacity, but I'm not very computer savvy.

I always set things to show the max number of posts because I hate waiting for a page to load after reading 10 replies. "view all" might be pretty cool if it wouldn't cause some kind of problems.
