Is there anyone using the simple 5 wire hook up for their LS engine?

Do you mean like Turnkey uses with their delphi/MEFI 4 ecm and wiring?

the only five wire hook up would be ground ignition power fuel pump and obd ii port ....but i guess no fan control or average gauges

I heard that there is a small wire kit for the ls engines that uses the stock computer. is there something that simple? I would like to open my stock wiring harness and strip out the non needed wires. if anyone has an after market harness that's cleaned up I would like to copy it.

They have the basics for installing what I consider one of the simplest LS controllers kits available (short of going to speartech or someone for a custom piece). I think you when you hear a "5 wire hook up" that does not include everything already built into the harness (MAP sensors, knock sensors, etc) but is talking about external connections such as power, ingintion, ground, etc.

Thanks guys for the good info. I cant see paying someone 800 for striping out a few wires. I know, you guys are saying it's only 400 to 500 but when I called them it was much more. I'm not asking for custom changes either. Just a little longer to get inside the car and clean up the unused wires that are not needed. I'm running a 6 spd so dont need the auto stuff either.
