Did you see that shipping is 150 dollars?? Read through there feedback seems to be common with them just a high flat rate for shipping even if it didnt cost that much.

These seats look really similar to the APC seats.

Ahh...I didn't see that. I saw those APC seats in there. They don't look half bad.

Go to eBay and do a search on 'camaro seats'. There's all kinds of stuff in there.

I bought my front seats and rear seats all 4th gen and I KNOW the shipping wasn't that much. I just cant remember how much it was. But $155.00 seems quite high. I could be wrong.
Came in 2 big cardboard boxes just loaded with styraphome peanuts.

$10 for insurance? Insurance with UPS is included for up to $100 per a box.. So this is just another profit center.. lol..

Thier cost on shipping would depend how they are packaged (one box or two).. well less than $100 I would say.

My CR1's & sliders directly from Salt Lake City to Pittsburgh were only $70....

Hmmm..... According to my math, which is never the most reliable, I think that comes out to around $250 for a pair of decent looking seats. Not too bad to me.

Just buy them, and give them your own FedEx account #, and tell them to ship them through your account. Problem solved.

Those seat guys are pretty slick, there are a few dozen selling on ebay like this. They will give you you the seats damn near for free but you WILL pay for THEM to ship them at THIER price. Most of the ads state no pick-ups or other shipping arrangements.

Even after paying 150 or whatever for shipping you are still getting a pair of brand new seats for under 250, not too bad. Somebody buy a pair so we can get an idea of what type of quality seats they are.

looking for a guiene pig?? (SP?) :hah:

The price isn't bad but it is cheezy how they try and make it look like a better deal than it is.. then again, that's marketing for ya ;)

You have to understand that some of these guys aren't just looking to scam you by charging you for shipping when you didn't see it, they are actually trying to save money by listing a lower price and advoiding ebay seller fees. Not very honest either way though.

I can tell you from my hard headed sons experience that those seats are crap! He put a set very similiar to those in his Dakota RT. I tried to tell him that those were not good quality seats but he insisted :slap: Not long afterwards he was complaining about how they were uncomfortable and falling apart, as some of the foam padding inside the vinyl and along the sides started falling down and out of place. I'm still waiting for him to put the factory seats back in which I though were pretty comfortable, but not "cool enough" so he says. I say you could buy a cheap fiberglass bucket cover it with a trash bag and have the same seat. Just my .02

Sure there is. Just ask some of these guys with the $400 Momo steering wheels.

......I'll still never understand that. $400 for a steering wheel.

......a STEERING WHEEL!!! :hmm:

Just curious but what do you consider a reasonable amount to pay for a steering wheel,Tony?

I have those seats in my Beretta. They're not bad. But don't make the mistake of thinking they're great either. The only reason I bought them is because there are no stock Beretta seats with side support. Here's a couple pics:

No matter what, they're better than the stock maroon interior in the car.

Clint, I paid $65 for my Grant Formula 1 Signature Series steering wheel on eBay. It was new in the box. Looks great, solid construction and feel. End of story. Go to the site below, it's under 'Signature Series' and 'Formula 1' as part #1066. For some reason I can't hotlink to it.

I've just never been a fan of Grant wheels, for some reason. My car now has a Grant Challenger GT wheel that looks ok but I really want a Momo Trek. Here's a link to see my Grant wheel.

Just speaking for myself,I never put a price limit on creativity. If I want it and can afford it,I'll buy it.

Hey...I don't blame you. If you have the money and you don't mind dropping $400 on something that you gotta have, then go for it. I'm just looking at it from my perspective. For a guy of my financial resources, $400 is like $4000. I can buy a lot of parts that I desperately need with $400. It would be hard to justify spending it all on a steering wheel when I have an alternative available to me for about a quarter of the price that I'll be happy with. I love how my steering wheel looks. I upgraded it's appearance with a polished billet aluminum center.

I guess you haven't been to the Pleasanton GG event where there's a guy who will cut your vintage 18" wheel down to a 14-incher and still have it look like the original. All for a mere $1800, chrome horn ring extra.:jawdrop:

Just so'z we are clear, my Momo wheel cost $232.00. It ain't $65 but it ain't $400 either. I wouldn't want people to be discouraged before checking out the price. I've owned virtually every brand of wheel: Grant, Sparco, Budnik, Momo...and the Momo's are ny far the highest quality of the bunch.

As an added benefit, the Momo wheel reads "OW OW" when rotated 180 degrees or if the car is on it's roof.

Well, not all Momo Steering Wheels cost $400. Granted they have models all the way down in the $150 price range. Understand I'm not trying to generalize the company, they're not all about high dollar wheels. I won't balk at $232 especially if it's a car like yours which is built for competition. But I've heard some people on here talk about their Momo wheels costing upwards of $400. To me....that's just nuts.

But to each his own.

I have had a tiny Grant wheel for over 10 years now, both in my 71 Camaro and my 92 Toyota pickup, and wouldn't have it any other way. Of course I would buy a nicer style wheel if it is available in very small diameters. The Grant 10" I use gives me improved leg clearance when shifting/braking as well as less total hand movement while turning, making for faster responses to feedback. Someday I will find a fancier wheel in the <12" diamter department, but until then I will keep buying the Grant's.
