Wednesday I removed the original carpet from my 1991 Nevada Highway Patrol B4C Camaro and found this original build sheet.

The car was built in March 1991 just after our armed forces visit to Iraq.

Enjoy!

Every now and then, I was blown away by some of the artistic talent working on the assembly lines in GM's Oshawa plants. I'm certain there is similar talent on every assembly line GM has.

Cool cartoon, but I thought the Firebird and Camaro were built in California back then?

Hmmm dare I say typ union worker... I wonder how many more cars could have been carpeted while he made that?

I've actually watched guys on the line do this kind of art.
It works like this: When you work on an assembly line you have a set amount of time to do each job as it passes in front of you (generally one minute). After doing the same job for more than a month, you get pretty damn fast at it. If your work area is big enough you can pound out three, four, or more jobs in quick succession. This will give you a block of free time (anywhere from one to three or four minutes).
I have seen drawings similar to this one done in just two or three minutes.
Like I said earlier, there is some real artistic talent on the assembly lines.

From the way it is cropped, it looks like a photo copy placed onto the build sheet.

That's exactly what it looks like to me.

The paper is definitely GM build sheet/Broadcast sheet paper. Looks like it might have been run through a copy machine. I would bet there are other cars with this "neat" build sheet also.

Hello I thought I had alot of knowledge about muscle cars but as the saying goes "you are never too old to learn" hit home two days ago. My friend Steve called me about a cool car I must see. He was at a bar (not unusual) and I was at work with a client. What is it steve? I asked. His reply was a 91 Camaro. A 91 Camaro I said, why would I want one of those but thanks anyway Steve, not for me. A few minuites later my cell rang with a unfamiliar tone and when I looked it was picture mail of an engine. Big deal I thought a camaro with a TPI. Ten min later he called me again and the desperation (or a few more beers) in his voice convinced me to listen. Long story short there is a 56000 mile B4C with all options in black with grey int, a binder with all documentation including window sticker, build sheet, owner history, mag articles, and as a bonus, I googled a name on the orig reg and found the first owner in Georgia. I will search under the carpet and will let you know what I find. Pics will be coming soon! Ted

Though not as "neat" as yours, here is one of two build sheets I found in my 82. one being under the rear seat and one stuck to the back of the door panel. I have also heard of them being found on top of the gas tank, but thankfully I have yet to need to drop my tank for any reason.
