View Full Version : Merlin X Heads
Does anyone have any on-hands experience with these merlin X heads (http://www.theengineshop.com/products/merlin-x-aluminum-heads.html).? They look pretty trick and the price isnt bad either, very small combustion chamber but a flat top or dished piston would work for a street engine.
Thanks

These look like decent heads, I like the flatter valve angle and small chamber, I don't know how big your engine is going to be so I can't reccomend a port volume for you, I would shoot for about 11.0 to one compression, do you realize that the listed price is for one cylinder head ?

I like the fact that it has the flatter valve angle and small chamber too. Even at that price per head it seems like a good price for the design that it is. Waiting to see some magazine tests on it, see if it works as good as it sounds.

That is a good price, I just wanted to make sure that you realized that it is per head, what size engine are you building? clutch car or automatic? Depending on your answers I also have a Good cam grind for you.
