What is the paint name for the wheel center color that is a broze-ish color? I have seen several different iterations but I really like the color that is on the Japanese tuner wheels.
Is there a paint code or name or are they basically all different depending on who mixes it or powders coats it?

I have heard it called various things. If I am picturing what you are talking about, it is a smoked titanium. Post up a picture of a wheel that looks similar so that we know what you want.

Alot of tuners wheels I've seen are gold but if you look lower down the wheel page theres a Forgeline thread and jwalk posted pics of his with a brushed nickel outer

I guess this is more like it. I was looking at doing a Mini-lite style wheel with polished hoop and bronze center instead of the usual argent silver center.

As far as powder coat is concerned, we could almost match anything, or get it very close. There are many colors to choose from. Our powder coater has a wall full of samples that we can send to you. And if you are looking for a mini-lite: www.newgenwheels.com.

are you changing your wheels, Johnny Go?

Well, I'm getting some floors, sub-frame connectors and mini-tubs put in at Muscle Rodz right now. Kind of looking at maximizing the new real estate out back. I think I'm finally going to get an AAR hood too. The Mini-Lite style wheels will match well with the hood.

Kind of a Tran-Am 'Cuda feel, don't you say? Plus, those behemoths on it now are like 50lbs a wheel including tire! Cragar needs to make a Soft 8 Lite.

I would not do the polished hoops. I would go all bronze, or tone down the hoops a bunch

I'm also having Aaron Beck do some renderings with a
red stripe/blk paint, red int.
red stripe w/ Titanium Pearl paint/ black hood/ red int. Boze wheels

and something similar to all three but with a funky edge.

you could do something similar to current styling of polished hoops and cast or brushed center, but with a tinted clear bronze. I would also change the green stripe to match the wheels

Here are some different wheels and paint schemes. I appologize if it more a "Multi-media" related post. Anyway, here's the different looks I'm pondering. I've been pretty set on the Mini-lite look but if I were to choose another wheel I will probably go with Boze Velocity here.

First is a revamp of the green stripe and bronze centered Mini-Lites

I really like the looks of the mini-lites on there but what about doing the stripe the same color?

dupont makes a chromabase toner 878. Weve painted calipers with it and it matches the bronze color pretty damn good
