I took my Z06 down to Sebring last weekend to run HPDE with NASA. Frank and Michael Serafine joined me as crew and shop getaway.

I have to give the NASA folks a lot of credit. They really run a tight operation: all events went off on time, all day long. And since the weather cooperated and the thunderstorms held off til dinner time, I got to make 4 sets of runs, about 25 laps in all. I used an entire tank of gas!!

Sebring is a high speed track, and I reached speeds of 145 mph on the loooong backstretch.

I'm looking forward to Palm Beach International in September!

Cool. A Z06 is a great track car.

Since our scheduled NASA-SE race at AMP probably won't happen in October, since the track isn't actually built yet, I'm thinking of coming down and running Sebring with HSR.

Really looks like a fun track.

And this is no ordinary ZO6 either. 560HP to the tires, 15" floating Brembo brakes, Mono Block wheels, lots of carbon fiber.

The instructor was simply gaga over the car. Thought it was the best street car there which says a lot since there was a couple worked ACR Vipers on the property also.

John had a few people come over after running to see what the hell that thing had in it!

Michael and I were glad to be there and had a good time. But the only thing that sucks worse then watching Road Racing is..................well nothing actually! This is what we saw all day, about 1/2 a mile of the 3.7 mile coarse!

Car sounds killer though

Cool video! That 4-3 downshift sounded like I know what I'm doing!
