Hi guys,

I was just wondering if the TCP upper control arms have a corrected balljoint angle to suit the Shelby drop? I know the TCP guys specify a 1" drop (they offer a drill jig or a dropped pivot for this), but I want to run the 1.5" Shelby drop as the Global West guys do. I just want to know if the balljoint would go into bind with this larger drop?

I'm no suspension expert, but if TCP sells their setup with a 1" drop template, I'd follow their specifications. If you want more drop like the GW setup (not exactly sure why you'd want that), you probably should purchase the GW gear. I'd assume both companies design their a-arm to specific angles relative to mounting locations. Why deviate from their spec?

Simply because the 1.5" drop is better than the 1" drop (as confirmed using suspension design software). TCP do it with 1" because it's the commonly done drop that *usually* doesn't require balljoint angle adjustment. It is still a safer bet to adjust the balljoint angle when you do the 1" drop.

I like TCP's arms because they are adjustable, but I am going to do the 1.5" drop because it gives a better camber curve and this size drop gives you fantastic results with the Pro Motorsports bumpsteer kit.
