Transmission, shifter, pedals and linkage all donated from a 1968 Charger

It's 2010 Ford Sterling Grey Metallic. I saw it on a Shelby GT500 and fell in love with it. It's such a great color because the metallic is so deep and rich. I couldn't be happier with how the paint came out!

That looks Sweet! I love it, nice work. Is it a pistol grip shifter? My buddy had a purple 70 Road Runner. I used to love to drive it with the pistol grip. Very nice.

Gonna have to keep an eye on this build, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the compliment......the pictures do not do the car justice. I was floored when I went to the shop after the paint was put on. It is truly stunning.

The wheels are Boss 338 by American Racing. They are 18x9.5 (backspace 5") in the back and 18x8 (backspace 4.5") up front.

Not a pistol grip shifter..........yet.

Depending on which direction I go with the car depends on what kind of shifter it will have. I'm considering two options at this point:

Dropping in a crate Hemi in which case it will have a pistol grip

or

I might want to get my hands on a 1st Gen Viper motor and transmission.

Haven't decided yet, so the 383 she has now will do just fine for the time being.

Nice, I got a 69' Roadrunner and was just wondering what size wheels to go with. Amazingly I want to paint mine gray as well, your Sat confirms that plymouth b bodies look damn good gray.

What kind of hemi(if you go in the hemi direction) you gonna run with, 426 or 3rd gen?

I got a 440 on a stand ready to be machined and stroked to a 500, BUT was talking to some local club members and they suggested if I wanna push the envelope (on my wallet and project) I should drop a 3rd gen hemi in. And if an opportunity presents its self, which it has but i dont have $ for it right now, Im gonna consider the swap.

I just bought a set of SRT 8 Challenger seats for my 71 Challenger PT project. Do you have a wiring diagram? Mine are power and heated. Also what console are you installing? It looks great and seams to eliminate the issue of a lot of modern consoles needing to run into the front dash.

Thanks, Wes

My driver's seat is powered and they are both heated. I've chosen not to use the heaters so the hookup was pretty simple for the power seat. Unfortunately I do not have a diagram.

The center console is from..............get this.........a 2007 Cadillac DTS. IMO, it compliments the seats well and I don't have to worry about infriging on the 4-speed floor shifter. There's a guy on ebay selling them (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.m748&item=220622322409&viewitem=&_trkparms=clkid%3D7627041709042614075). I offered him $75 and he took it.

Thanks. Are the housing metal or plastic. I've heard some of the ebay light kits come with plastic housing, and tend to melt.

Thanks, the car looks so much more awesome in person. Ever since it's been out of the garage, I've been with a perpetual smile :smoke:

I've been driving it more than my Dodge Ram lately. With the Challenger seats and the new tires, it is an excellent cruiser and it draws attention wherever I take it. I've taken it to 4 cruises so far and walked away with trophies every time. :1st:

I had a local upholstery shop take the skin off the Chally back seat and fabricate a new one on the original back seat. I also had them also integrate the rear headrests :)

New headlights are on!! The vendor I'm working with is working to get me a replacement light for the one with the 3 LEDs out, and also he is working to get me a matching color set, although the contrasting warmth of the LED colors doesn't look too bad to me as it looks now.

They are actually motorcycle headlights made by a company called Ultima.

You can find a few vendors online that sell them. I found mine on ebay from this guy:

The center console came out of a 2007 Cadillac DTS. I wanted a console that didn't intrude on the shifter and this one was a perfect fit to the style of the Chally seats.
