I am new to the LS and i know alot of parts can be used from one motor to another but i could not find any info on this. Will a 06 CTS V pan LS6 fit onto a 03 LS1 motor?

Thanks

I think you are doing a first gen camaro swap? If so this is the pan you need. It does not hang below the subframe like most others.....

Yes it will fit the motor but need more info to see if it will fit the car. Also head over to LS1tech.com all the info is on their stickys.

Thanks i had seen it, it is a little to expensive for me as i want to spend the money in better places than a oil pan. Yes i am putting it in a 67 camaro but i am moving the motor back and up if i had too the car is far from stock.
Thanks for the info

I had been lurking over there for the last couple weeks but as i am offshore now at work. For some reason my computer blocks the LS1tech site. I was bidding on it on ebay and i did not know if the 06 fit the LS1, but i lost anyway so it really did not matter. I knew from the post it hangs lower than the F-body pans but i had planned moving the motor up and back to make it clear.

If you aren't worried about clearance this pan will be perfect for you.... And its a lot cheaper

I will have to make sure the 7.75" sump wont have me setting my motor up too high but that is a much better price and comes with everything. Thanks for the link, do you know if anyone uses it. I will do a search to see if there is any threads on this pan.

Thanks

That is the Hummer pan. Not a good choice no matter what the cost in my mind. It is too deep.

I personally havent heard of people using it on anything other than chevelles I think. I am using the retro lsx pan. I know its a lot more money but I don't want to ruin a motor over a couple hundred dollars.

Anybody have any info on the CTS-V pan into a second gen F-body. Looks like it is about 1.75 inches deeper than the F-body pan.

Bite the bullit and get the right pan. You will thank yourself later.
