Newbie here. I go by MACE_Hardware on most boards. I'm a bit of a geezer having been small enough to ride in the back of my dad's dealership new 68 Camaro. Well I got the 68 as a hand-me-down in high school and of course wrecked it. I rebuilt it enough that I could drive it 1000 miles to my first job out of college and then parked it and it's sat in my shed now for about 18 years. It was rough when I parked it and probably is little more than a core now under that cover. I still have the original title though and the same plates from 1968 which is kind of cool.

Anyway, I spend most of my free time and cash on the dirt biking hobby and always said I'd build the Camaro when I retire or get too lame to ride. I've been thinking though with all the cool developements in Pro Touring that maybe I need to get her started sooner. My plan is to do a Donohue / Penske motif but with only subtle tribute features so it's not any kind of clone. I live within a few hours of Art Morrison so I may just go with one of his chassis and have him do a streetable cage as well. Beyond that I want to get a rotisserie and do every other part of the build myself.

Anyway, I'll be lurking and when I start work I'll document it here.
