How much rubber fuel line can you run?

I am going to mechanical pump electric doesn't get it for me. I have a carbbed 350 and I would like to know if I can run about 24" out of the tank to steel line? Or maybe put a filter about 12" in the line.

Well, if you drag race and your car is faster than 7.50 in the 1/8th, no more than 6" total is allowed. Other than that, you are okay with 24".
