Hi guys,
I'm pretty close to finishing the 1st stage of my '68 impala modifications. So far I have pulled and re-installed the engine, painted the engine bay (engine out), the interior is out getting upholstered, and the next stop is the paint.
I would like to work on my '61 impala now. My question to you guys that have experience with restorations or custom builds is: Is there a logical plan to building a car (frame off)? How do the pros attack a project?
I'm thinking the interior should come out first. Then maybe remove the body. Next maybe work on the chassis/suspension. The drive-train (engine/transmission) next and put back on the chassis. Paint next followed by the electrical and finally uphosltery.
What do you guys think? Did I get it somewhat correct?
