Most chrome companies will only warranty their stuff for 3 years. Reman almost never as good as OE. Hate to say it, but quit being a tight wad.

My first street car was a 68 Camaro I bought in 74. The door mirror as well as some other exterior chrome like the bumperettes was pitted at the time of purchase. I started replacing them one at a time with new pieces from the dealer. Wax is your friend with chrome and it doesn't stay on very long at all. Also the remains of bugs causes pitting to occur if not removed.
