If you want distributorless, than Electromotive (http://www.electromotive-inc.com/) Tec 3 is the way to go

Use the the BigStuff3 or FAST XFI and set up the crank and cam sensors as LS1 based. Then you can use LS1 coils on a true coil per cylinder arrangement.

I run a Holley Dominator EFI system on mine. Works perfect.

I am using the Tec3 as well, There is no question that it is a great system and can do whatever you need.

Holley HP or Dominator can run 16 injectors and has its own DIS system as well as standard features.

I run the DIS on my car and just tuned a 1700HP nitrous drag radial car with the DIS the other week. Went 4.9's at 149 in the 1/8th.

MegaSquirt.
Could you tell me more about your setup? I am thinking about doing the same thing. What version of megasquirt are you running? Are going to run in wasted spark mode? or are you planning to using a cam position sensor. MAP sensor, temp sensor, spark tables......?
Thanks

Is the car in your avitar the car you will be installing the MegaSquirt?
I am running the MegaSquirt-II PCB 3.0 version, with a relay board. This setup has provisions for all the required sensors. This will be installed in a 79 Trans Am, with a traditional 455 Pontiac engine.
I have some 36-1 trigger wheels for sale. They are 7.10 inch in diameter and laser cut. I am using a HEI distributor to fabricate a cam sensor.
This link is to the MegaSquirt site if you have not found it yet.

The original plan was to run wasted spark using an EDIS module. The project is on hold awaiting the arrival of the next batch of MegaSquirt - III Daughter Boards.
The MS-III will permit the use of sequential spark and fuel injection.
The below link is to diyautotune page for the MS-III Daughter Board.

I plan on installing it my on 69 firebird. I'm in need of something new to play with. I thought it would I would get my feet wet with the ignition side of megasquirt then in the future do EFI. After reading the website, I plan on waiting for ms-III daughter board. Please post your progress.

I have the MS3 board (one of the first 50).
I didn't stat the car yet, I am missing the tank and the MS3X which has not been released yet.
If I manage to get everything done before getting the MS3X, I will start the car in batch mode. (for the moment ,I have a vortec distributor for ignition and cam sensor)
With the MS3 and MS3X, you can use directly the LS2 coils for COP and distributorless ignition.
