Decided to test fit my convertible top on my 69 Camaro to determine what parts I still needed. Looks like I have everything I need except the bolts/bushings to attach the cylinder rod to the top frame. Does anyone know if these parts are available? Or is there an alternative way to attach the lift cylinders?
This was originally a manual top car and I thought I had purchased all of the parts needed, but these appear to be missing. Thanks...Eric

Doesn't the manual assist assembly have the same bolts/bushings at that connection?

Unfortunately no. The springs have a square bushing that slips over the end and fits in the groove. From what I can tell looking at the body manual, the power top cylinders use a pair of bushings and spring washers.
I don't have a picture of the bushing in place, but you can see from the picture below, that the end of the spring mechanism is different than the lift cylinder.

To my knowledge, the bolts you're talking about are available from places like Hydroelectric, along with the bushings for them.

Thanks for the referral to Hydroelectric. Very friendly people to deal with and they had the parts I needed! ---Eric
