Is the Edelbrock performer RPM hydraulic roller cam any good for a 327 chevy small block?
or are there better options out there?

Edelbrock has some nice stuff, but in my opinion I would give Comp Cams a shot, try there new software, "CamQuest" and it will basically give you a recommendation. There are allot of Cam choices out there, and the important thing is what kind of usage is the cam going to do,street, race, track what kind of compression your engine is going to have, heads, many things you might want to look over if you have not already,to max out the power of your new cam.

Give the Comp Cams a try...
Good luck!

Go with a roller cam and avoid the hassles.
I won't vendor bash, but you get the idea..
