You might remember my '67 Camaro from this thread.

I figured that I would start a build thread as I plan to make some changes in the coming weeks.
I have had this car since '03 and it has suffered from the low/no budget low/no time syndrome for the first 4 years of ownership. The project was given a big kick in the pants by Jake and his Rod Shop which is only 20 minutes away from my house.

It currently has a 350/TH350 combo. The 350 is extremely tired. I think it is a testament to the design that it still manages to lug this car around. The amount smoke it spews would of raise eyebrows during the industrial revolution.
The suspension include 3" DSE leafs that were on the Twist Machine yellow car and front springs from Jake's shed. I also had the brakes upgraded to power discs in the front. I have a fast ratio power steering box in the works as well.
Apperance wise, the paint is a 20 footer. There are some rust bubbles and other poor fixes that will have to be taken care of when I get the stones to blast the car apart. The SS badging will be gone and I have plans for a front spoiler and diffuser that I will be molding myself. The interior just needs a headliner and some finishing touches. I plan to mold a Kydex headliner to get a few inches of headroom. The look will be Streetfighter meets Boso with some classic touches.
My Down East Maine car buddy Bryant Kennedy sourced a 454 for me out of a Lobster Boat. Thinking it was just a run of the mill marine motor we were shocked when we realized it cam out of a high performance passenger car. I got some 10.5-1 compression KB pistons and had the block bored .030 over. I kept the stock crank and con rods and had them balanced and blueprinted.
I found a day to head down east with hopes of getting the bottom end assembled.

Bryant and I gathered all the parts up and headed to Tyke's Garage. Tyke has a blindingly fast '69 drag car and is one of the most detail oriented people I know and we needed some guidence.
