OK,

Got the cam out(STUPID FUEL PUMP!!!) But want to know what cam I have. The only markings on the back of the cam are 221508 Thats it. Also a light tan dot but other than that...nothing. How do I determine what cam this is OR what manufacturer made it? Any help would be appreciated. It came out of a goodwrench 350 chevy but it definately does not sound stock.

Thanks
Mark

Looked closer at the cam and found this on it between the lobes CWC 1539. Does that help?

Got this info from another site. Can anyone elaborate?

"That's the type of the numbering system that GM set up with CMC (Camshaft Machine Co.) for the cams that went into their products. I have no (specific) info with those numbers anymore, but that's what it looks like! They closed about 15 years ago, and made the cams available through the Wolverine/Blue-Racer line, but used an entirely different numbering system. And as far as I know there never was an interchange system set up."

According to my clock its only been 24 hours, dam you can't even report a person missing in that time let alone a camshaft ID. :seizure:

I looked through my limited library of old cam info to no avail. I had this 800# to the GM Past Component History line but hadn't used it since 96 and just was not able to find it.

Lastly the right people may not have had a chance to get on the board to see this mysterious question. You know mothers day is Sunday, and some take all week to focus on what to get her.

Cant help myself, once I lock my mind to something I cant break away from it until I figure it out.... On that note, found the CAMSHAFT MACHINE COMPANY after searching numerous other search engines with no success on DOGPILE.COM LOVE THAT SEARCH ENGINE!! Anyways, called them and they punched in the six digits and TADAAAA!! IT CAME UP!!! They are faxing over the specs today so should have them soon.
