Hi everybody!
My name is Per Arne Flaesen, non-scandinavian people tend to pronounce my first names as Pierre Orna, hence the Ornamental nick.
Born and raised in the Lofoten archipelago north in Norway, now living in Oslo.
I'm new to everything of american cars, not counting a interest that has been growing these last years. I'm about to get myself a musclecar, and turn it into a proper G-Machine. A big motivation is that i want to smoke my friends mostly stock '70 Charger...
Problem is, i know next to nothing yet, so i'll better be learning.
Which is one of the reasons for joining this forum...
I hope i can ask you people various questions about this and that before i decide what car to buy.
Though, i'm kinda partial to the Mopar E-body.

Welcome to the site, Per Arne (I hope I didn't screw that up). Glad to have you aboard. It's good to have more Mopar entusiasts on the site!

Thanks for the welcome Ralph!
I intend to post a picture of my newly acquired car after i've actually bought it, most likely not before july.
This because i'm not home in Norway on a permanent basis until then.
The time before the acquisition, i hope to spend some of it here, getting the knowledge to make a good buy, and what to do to improve it.
Until then, please have patience with my naive questions, and please have patience with my naive questions also after i've bought the car...

Welcome Per. I believe we have several members who are Scandinavian, Dutch, and so on who regularly attend the board. I'm sure they will welcome you as well. Read, learn, spend spend spend, build and DRIVE like crazy! Enjoy.

Hallo Per Arne. I'm pretty new to this site myself. I am currently waiting for my 70 Cuda to arrive to Oslo in the middle of this month. Nice to see another mopar guy in norway! Take care.

Hi northener!:)
A 70 'Cuda, that's real nice! Would'nt mind if someone threw one of those after me!
But since i fear that i may have to buy the E-body myself insted,
i would like a 72-74 Challenger, or quite possibly a 72-74 Barracuda.
Price is certainly one factor, but what appeals most to me is that these models are appearently considered as the ugly ducklings of the E-body family compared to the more sought after 70-71 models in their various muscle versions.
I once saw a killer 73 black Challenger (Yes, a 73!) on e-bay, forgot to save the pictures before it was sold, and will never forgive myself that.
The stance was just so right, it made me realise exactly how much it matters. Until i saw that particular 73, i thought of the 72-74 grille as plain ugly. Until then, that is. That Challenger had a hungry, menacing look that assaulted my opinion of the later Challengers, and beated it with a stick until i saw the light. The bumber might have been customised, but so what?
The images of that car has been lying in my conciousness for a while now, and i think that to get one of the least popular E-bodies, and turn it into something that will look smooth, actually have cornering capabillities, and even demand muscular respect of a stock HemiCuda would kick ass!
Gotta have high goals!
Good thing that i have nothing else i need to spend major money on monthly anymore...
