I got it as a graduation present from my parents. They bought my SS and a Malibu for my brother. They told us if we graduated college we could have them.
So I graduated in 2006. i got caught up with other stuff and the chevelle got neglected. I got engaged last August, bought a house in January, and am getting married in July. The car sat for a few years and the tires dry rotted.
Last week I finally got tax refund and I started ordering parts. I got the tires on, new battery, and fresh gas. Turned the key and it wouldnt turn over. Changed the neutral safety switch and it fired up. Only thing I need now is brakes.
So I plan on getting new brakes in two weeks then move the car to my house.
I got big plans but I'm gonna drive it as it sits for a while and save some money. Already been told by my future wife that I can't buy any parts til after we get married.
