I'm driving a '69 camaro and liked the stock springs but car was too high in rear so I went to the Hotchkiss springs and rear bar but was too loose. Went to Global West springs with 2" drop and asked them to de-arch them another inch. I left the Hotchkiss rear bar in. car corners very well now at road courses.

If you want an off-the-shelf leaf spring for roadracing. There is nothing better than the Global West Cat V (http://globalwest.net/1967-69_Camaro-Firebird_springs_and_rear_leaf_bushings.htm)
To really get proper motion in the rear suspension, you have to run a spherical bearing in the front spring eye. CatV is one of the only setups out there that does this. They also use a thicker gauge steel than anyone else I've seen. Combine that with an extra leaf on the front of the spring, and you have a pretty damn nice setup.
Now, that said; with your ride height differences side to side: I could line up 10 cars with the same setup and they'd all sit differently. I'm curious if you may have damaged a leaf... are you running traction bars? If a traction bar is setup wrong (and most of them are), it can hit the spring in the wrong area and destroy them.
Can you post the rest of your setup, and some pics so we can get a better idea of what is going on?

You can't ID any spring by its advertised drop... You'd have to know how the car was sitting to start with when you tool'd up
