I know its going to vary signifigantly with geography but as my car will at least start out track only Im wondering how often you guys get your fix and what types of events you do?.....also wondering how far you are willing to travel, do you camp or hotel it and what kind of trailer set up do you use.
and Im talking any kind of road race track car from a converted street car to all out from day one race car.....

When I had a track-only car in California, I averaged about 6-8 events per year. I had an open trailer and a 1500 series truck with all my spares and tools in the bed. Living in San Francisco, I would run events at Sears Point, Laguna Seca, Thunderhill, Buttonwillow, Willow Springs, and Las Vegas. I only camped once (at Buttonwillow), but I got very used to Motel 6's and similar because that's all you're going to find around these tracks.

Yeah, same here, 6 to 8 events a year with NASA but that was awhile ago and now I am starting up again. I like time trials because your laps get timed and you know when you are improving.
I'd like to start camping due to costs but for now its the Motel 6.
I used to run an open trailor but just recently purchased an enclosed trailor.
I typically ran at Infineon and Thunderhill and hit Buttonwillow a few times.
My car is registered for the street and I will take her out at least a couple times a month.

were either of you guys paranoid about leaving your car on an open trailer in a hotel parking lot overnight or did you leave it at the track with friends or in a compound?
when I raced the bikes we camped exclusively

No, I never had a problem. The motel lot was usually filled with race cars Friday night and the car stayed at the track after arrival Saturday morning.
