Just was looking at my motor and can decide if I like the yellow valve covers. Thinking of redoing them in satin black, non glossy silver, or possible crinkle coat black or silver with polished bolts. What do you guys think would look best? heads and block are silver. so many options!

no WAY! i haven't considered that. what kind of wrap would look good? it'd definitely look custom. Its vinyl wrapping correct?

no, it's called water transfer printing (technical term i guess). it's actually a film that is activated in water and it etches itself into the surface of your part. then you apply a clear coat over the top for added protection. there are hundreds of prints such as carbon fiber, camo, wood grains, marble, stone, brushed metal, etc. i'll pm you.

what color is your car?
I'm pretty partial to Ferrari's Crinkle red, and I think it would look killer with the design of your intake.
This is one my favorites, a nice textured red, with the subtle hammered silver.

Lot of cool hammertone combination too, Copper, black, flat, bright.

the hydrographics is a real interesting process! I'd like to see alot of people catching on. It adds such a unique finish but at the moment its a little bit out of my budget, as I'm trying to put money towards whats mostly needed to get the damn thing finished.
ASH I was thinking something like crinkle coat on my motor too, but I don't want to dissamble the lower intake, injectors, etc so I was just thinking of painting my valve covers. Unless I did something like crinkle coat runners or plenum. This can get pretty interesting

I think I decided I'm gonna try out black crinkle coat on the valve covers. I think it'd contrast well with the smooth yellow intake. The car is black, I kinda wish I did a different color scheme since it is really eye catchy for being in such a car. But once all the accesories are installed It won't be as brilliant. Maybe when I upgrade to larger injectors Ill try something different

for wrinkle coat painting does the paint need to be stripped off, or do you think it'll stick well since I just painted them with new paint. Just a scuff, or what?

Just for giggles.... My prices on hydrographics on valve covers ranges between $75/pair for the small ones..
