Im having trouble finding some low tension hood struts for my 86 Regal. I tried the old worn out ones but they are a bit too worn. Im not sure who made the hood since I bought it used. It 2 1/2" cowl induction and is a bolt on in the back and pin front. I called Tamraz and they said use the regular ones but VFN said use a prop rod. Well first they said use low tension struts then when I asked for a part number they put me on hold and said upon return use a prop rod. IIRC Poston enterprises used to sell some but I think they are out of business. Any suggestions? Thanks

'82-'84 Z-28's had an optional plastic hood. If the steel hood struts are the same p/n between the 2 cars, the low tension struts will work for you.

Are you able to use any of these?

Hmm I'll check out the z28 thing. The rv store ones all seem to use the ball stud whereas mine bolt on. Im sure I can find some ballstuds if necessary though. I like that they list the weight though.
