I wonder who did the conversion on the car ???
I don't think the GM assembly plant produced the car that way.
So it's not really "factory".
An aftermarket company did a modification package and the car is being sold at a chevy dealer.
But it is extremely cool ..
Thanks for posting ..
I wish I had a 1000hp new Camaro...lol

Cool car, but I thought you ment that it was a "factory tuner" version, with warranty. That would have been AWESOME!

That's a good article .
I like it when Dealers sell modified cars with a warranty..
It brings back the Yenko , Dana , Nickey , and Berger memories !!
That's really cool..

Do I really have to be the one to say that those wheels and tires are god awful? I just threw up in my mouth a little. Seriously.
And who shoots a car with dirt all over the tires in the first place? It's like car shooting 101, cars shouldn't be photographed on dirt. It's not the thing's natural habitat fer crying out loud.

i like the dirt- it makes it look like a car that gets used instead of a polished piece of garage art.
it would also be nice if the rear wheel wells and quarters were covered in a layer of rubber chunks.
and that is one cool custom steering wheel cover..

I gots no problem with it looking driven, with rubber crumbs, but looking like it drove through a corn field? not so much.

My uncle had one of the "thunder" silverados produced here in AZ for a while, dealership backed 3yr/36K warrantly, 600HP 5.3L iron block and heads, wouldn't go that route again if they offered it. Just get a ZR1 or forego your warranty all together and do it right, the attempts at stock looking and warranties just end up meaning that you're cutting corners performance wise. IMHO

Ford built a 1000hp Factory car this year.
Namely the 2010 Super Cobra Jet Mustang. High 8's @ 150mph from show room floor. its rated at 475hp but actually makes 900+ @ the wheels.

Yep looks like it's riding on truck tires, odd choice, big fat bulbous tires.

I kind of like the look of the high sidewalls; if they are going for a drag-look, it's more appropriate that the trend towards ever decreasing aspect ratios. this kind of reminds me of those drag pak challengers that were supposed to be available (don't know if they were, I don't follow too closely).
