buddy of mine just bought a 71 nova that was on its way to being a pro street car. the firewall was smoothed out and there no place for the a wiper motor. he wants wipers for the car.... what to do, what to do

You can mount it on the driver side cowl under the fender or you can mount it under the dash on the pass side we have done a couple of them that way.
they seem to work just fine an clean up the firewall.

pretty much what your saying is, all custom work, not really a kit.

I installed a DSE universal kit in mine under the dash where the glovebox is. Other than putting in 4 holes and redoing the actuator arm it wa basically a kit. The install took all of 4 hrs and was the easiest mod I did and the first item that turned on and worked before everything else.

You can do a search for the word wiper motor and find the pics still.

I feel it is the best place to put it because it is the easiest place to get to next to tthe original spot and you only need to cut,rotate and weld the actuator arm. Just make sure you measure so the harness isn't too short, mine was very close and 1/2 in over toward the passenger side would have made the harness need to be lengthened.
