So, the Pontiac project is winding down with a lot less remaining to do, and lots having been completed. It's probably as good a time as any to thank some great vendors and supporters. All too often we're quick to criticize when things don't go well and it's important to show appreciation when folks really help out.
Here's just a quick note of thanks. There is no "order of priority" and I may miss some folks first time out just because my memory isn't what it should be. So, I'm apologizing in advance for my errors or omissions. Here goes...
Elstners Rod and Kustoms (no, I didn't spell it wrong - Jeff did): Here in SW PA, Jeff Elstner has done a great job around body and paint. It's my weakest area and he continues to do great work. If you're around Pgh, PA - he deserves consideration.
Mark (AKA Marcus) at SC&C: HUGE help. The suspension is exactly perfect. I could not ask for either more help, better advice or better components.
Dave Hillard of Hillard Performance in Dunningsville OH: I'd never touched a Pontiac motor before in my life, and had lots to learn. If you're building a poncho motor and are anywhere near Ohio, definitely talk to Dave. A wealth of building experience, great workmanship, and a great guy.
Frank at Prodigy: Frank and Lisa have definitely helped. Though I'm still working out the kinks in the Wilwood brakes, they do work. Between those, the steering and the rear end - Thanks Frank!
Clayton Machine Works and Clay Johnson: Good Stuff! Great quality and a great guy. Hopefully we'll get to meet in person at some point.
Some other vendors/shops that deserve credit for their product and customer service:
American Auto Wire
Rodney Red Radiators (excellent product and workmanship!)
Ididit (They have been very helpful and have stood behind their products)
Ram Air Restorations (Paul was easy to work with, and the 3" oval exhaust is awesome!)
RobbMC (Take a look at his stuff. Excellent quality and design, great customer service)
Second Skin (Great product - I'm extremely happy with the result - and with the education and advice from Anthony)
Totally Stainless (More great product and excellent service!)
