Hello all,

I am a long time lurker and finally decided to join a few months ago. I live in Topeka, Kansas and am starting my first full pro-touring project, a 1962 Nova. I have been interested in all things gas operated since childhood and have been in the car scene ever since I could drive. About 10 years ago my father aquired a 1963 Nova, that we have been upgrading for the past year (9in, rewire, crate engine) and it will soon be time to start on mine. The car is far from the completed stage but the renderings are hot off the press. I look forward to learning even more and keeping everyone up to date on the "Harvester of Sorrow".

The rendering looks great. What's the origin of the name "Harvester of Sorrow"? It's cool.

Agreed and Harvester of Sorrow is a song by Metallica.

That's cool-! When I was drag racing, my pals and I called ourselves "Damage Incorporated" !!

By the way the rendering was done by a guy named Colter O'Dell in Emporia, KS. You can look him up at www.odellstudios.com (http://www.odellstudios.com). Super cool guy, super reasonable, kick a-- art, and knows what your talking about.

Cool to see another Nova guy. There aren't too many and definitely not many Pro-touring.

Metallica does rock. I was going to put "Ride the Lightning" on my car but decided it didn't go with the rest of the car. I do have a new helmet that I need to airbrush.

That is going to be a cool car. The front spoiler looks a lot like the ones I make for the early Novas.

Randy,

It is the one you make for the early Novas. You will be getting a call sometime in the future. Can you make one to look like the Pro-Touring Camaro spoilers?

Very nice!!!

Are those 17" wheels on the front with the stock front end? I think the Nova is such a cool little car, and the perfect platform for running the cones.

Yes, 17" on all 4 corners. The front end is the CPP subframe kit with tubular uppers and lowers with a sway bar attached. The rear only has a sway bar but I need to do something else to get more of a pro-touring look in the rear. It currently has the single leaf spring set up.

Cool to hear all the Metallica tributes goin on. Hetfield is a gear head, the way I understand it. Can't wait to see this thing start to come together man. Thanks for the kind words.

I used to have "Distributor of Pain" engraved on a plaque mounted on my radiator support. It was in reference to Harvester of Sorrow as well as the fact that in my youth the distributor really did bring me pain!
