Has chevy style flanges. My stock style rear discs wont work, at least without a custom bracket. I have C5 fronts, what options do I have/what would match up with the fronts? Is there brackets available for use with C5 rears? Did a search but couldnt really find what i needed.

You screwed if you want a e brake. You can get drag race brakes from Wilwood with no E brake, other drag race brake companies make kits also, but none I know of with E brake for C Clip eliminator rears.

Damn Frank. I guess we should have talked about that before we ordered the rear. What do you run on the mosers you sell? I have a 6 speed, so I need an e-brake...

C-clip eliminators are essentially used to keep the axle from exiting the housing should it break, correct? Disk brakes on the rear will accomplish the same thing. I'm not too familiar w/C-clip eliminators, but if they are easily removed and didn't require mods to the flange area, I'd go back to a C-clip setup and put LS1 rears on it. Easy install, great park brake and an excellent match to your C5 fronts.

The factory Firebird 79-81 TA rear discs will work with C clip eliminators. At least they fit fine on a friends. They use the funky ratchet style on the piston.

I thought at one time Wilwood had an additional single add on caliper for E bracket set ups.

You have Big Frd ends. Different then the C Clip Eliminators he is talking about.

The TA brakes just may work.

The Wilwood tag along E Brake your thinking of was not really a Wilwood brake, but was by Revolution Brakes (formerly Precision Brakes) and is called Mr Parker. But I do not suggest them at all.

Not sure where the difference may be, but I have a Dana 60 in a 67 Camaro with c-clips and used wilwood 4 piston calipers which have an e-brake.

Interesting along these lines most C clip eliminators are drag oriented and have ball bearings-not good for cornering loads. Strange just came out with a set that has dual seals-to prevent leaks, as well as taper bearings for cornering.

I just found out I have the big ford ends, not the C-clip elim style. I ordered it with chevy ends because I already had the brakes. Guess the order got messed up. Have never seen a ford rear flange- sorry I'm a GM only guy. It had no C-clips, and bolted on from the end... Still bad not even knowing what setup I had. Just going to sell my brake setup & talk with KOR3 to see if I can use a C5 rear setup to go with the C5 fronts. Thanks for the help guys. I apologize for my ignorance.

Moser can still have the Chevy ends but with Ford bearings.

You can make a plate....

If you set up your spacing right you can make an adapter to run a C5 backing plate, parking brake, calipers and rotor. Spacer needs to be 1/2"-5/8" thick...similar to this one I made for a project. But with the ford pattern

ive been thinking about this too and gort69 makes a good point.say i broke and axle with this set up(disc brakes w/ c clips) whats the most damage that could be done? i would think the axle bearings and caliper brackets would get tweeked from the splined axle end not being supported or centered. what do you guys think?

That's what I've been hoping:) Of course how much weght can the caliper and rotor hold from really bending alot?

Mine is getting either these new Strange or weld on ends when I change gears this year. Been pushing the limit too long with my slicks and stock axles.

I've got a Chevy 12 bolt in a 69 Camaro also running C-Clip eliminators (Moser) using Wilwood disc brakes (140-5237-BD). No problems.

Does anyone know of a bracket to run c5/c6 rear brakes on a 12 bolt with c-clip eliminators?
