Thanks Larry, but didn't find what I was looking for. I think Pegasus Racing Supplies is the place for us to look.

I know that at one point Tyler (ATS) was making some, but I think that they were made of unobtanium and only Penny and a few other cars got them. I would search for that thread.

Seeing that thread makes me wonder what happened to Camaroboy69's Illusion Camaro

I ordered the tow hook from Pegasus Auto Racing. It comes in a safety yellow(I will probably paint it red) and has a ring on a swivel so that its not always in tow position to bang or bump into. It was $41.00 shipped.
Its being shipped ground and my car wont be back from paint for another 9 days now that I have added work to the car, but once installed I will post pics. should be a pretty clean install.

I carry 4 D-ring tow straps.. that was a truck doesn't have to chain to my car in case of breakdown.
Worth the small invetment

I ordered the ones from Pegasus Auto Racing. Circle ring on swivel attatched to 5/8 all thread. Not much for the safety yellow(will probly paint red)but I think will serve purpose well and look decent at the same time.
Trucks dont typically use chains, they use tow straps.... thats coming from experience, and more times then I care to admit, LOL.

The tow truck that hauled my car had all straps and no chains, They even had straps to hold at the tires. the guy started to use a chain and I stopped him immediately. I also got up there myself and put them where I wanted them and he was not so happy about it at first but when it was all strapped down he was very pleased to make me a happy guy and see that the car was not ever going to get a scratch on it. If I hadn't cared he would have put a chain over my lower control arm and it would have ruined it.
Be very careful when getting your car towed no matter where it is because the other guy just wants to get it up and out of the place it is at and may not care or know how to do it even if they have been doing it for 30 yrs like my guy. He had never had anyone like me in 30 years and when I cleaned the oil off of the bed with my oil dry he couldn't believe it, I was the only person in his whole career that did that for him. The tow was very reasonable for the distance and I was very pleased when it was placed in the garage and I didn't have to push it anywhere.
Steve has the right idea to carry his own straps because the guy who did mine said I was lucky the kids that keep the truck supplied with straps sometimes don't put them back on the trucks everytime and that would have left me sitting becuase chains are not going to ever touch my car except for pull the engine.
