Hey Guys,

I recently did some of the bottom of my car in Herculiner Bedliner and although it covered well, its quite a coarse finish. So what I'm wondering is does the gun make a big difference in the finish or is it more the material being sprayed?

Any gun recommendations?

Thanks,

Wes

I've sprayed and rolled Herculiner and it came out about the same texture. You can find the guns on e-bay, they call them schutz guns. I have sprayed a different product, Raptor, and it came out much smoother. I don't know about the other brands out there, but in your case, I would say it's the material.

What I have done in the past with the raptor liner is thin it 15% with urethane reducer and then user a siphon paint gun with a larger tip (2.2 at least) gives a smoother finish.
