I purchased a new Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump and it is on its way. It says in the instructions online that it needs a 10 AN feed line from the tank to the inlet of the pump. Right now I have an 8 AN feed line since the old pump only had a 1/2" male barb inlet. I'm running 520 HP at the crank. I definitely won't be over taxing the pump. I also purchased the Aeromotive pump controler to pulse the pump at low RPM's.
Do I need to change that line to a 10 AN line? The fuel filter has 3/8 NPT inlet and outlets so I'd have to replace that as well as the fittings from the tank to the pump.
Thanks,
Dennis
