Hello all. i have a 66 lemans with a 455 and dual quads with a mechanical fuel pump. my question would be why would i have loss of power when i turn. its more pronounced when i turn left than right. however, as soon as i straighten out it sputters then runs good. any ideas.

If you're speaking of low speed turning it's likely the ps pump pulling the engine down.

May need some baffling in the fuel tank?...not as pronounced in a carbed situation as in FI...

...maybe float levels too high and fuel is sloshing over causing the stumble?

maybe the jets are uncovered during the turn and you need jet extensions?

just throwing out some ideas.

+1. A poorly martched pump/valving can cause this during low speed turning. The more you turn, the worse it gets.
