I have two. First was when I almost got tagged in the rear by a 427 Vette convertible. He got a run on me in the wrong part and spun to avoid hitting me. The second was Me following a Mustang with 2 M3's behind me. We were at Pocono running the north course coming out of the infield onto NASCAR turn 3 backwards. We get up onto the bank and the Mustang loses the rearend, corrects, and it hooks spinning him around the opposite way and smacking the wall with the passenger side. meanwhile here I am trying to slow down and not hit the Mustang while not getting run over by the M3's.

Mine was back in my circle track days, I was passing the first place guy on the outside and he drove into my left front wheel and the hit locked my steering box and I drove straight to the bottom of the track with the whole field coming at me I got hit so hard it blew the fuel cell out of the car they said it landed a couple hundred feet away I took there word for it!, I walked away luckily but it was by far was the scariest thing racing or in my life to date, I really thought I was going to get killed.

I was racing Dwarf cars on dirt.... I ran my left front over the other guys right rear which proceeded to break my suspension and launch me thru the air in turn 2... No wall (thank God) and stayed shiney side up.....

Scariest moment? My very first race, I got gridded 27th in a 62 car field in a season ending race for double points at Road Atlanta.
Talk about a trial by fire :machine:

About 3/4 of the away around the second lap at Road America last weekend with Yancy Johns. I'm riding shotgun and coming into a turn he belts out "Uh Oh!"
We made it just fine though but I was already puckered up. LOL!

Top 5...
1) Ruptured a front brake line under braking into Turn 10 at Thunderhill...in traffic, on the first lap of the race.
2) Getting hit in the right rear under braking into Turn 11 near pit entrance at Sears Point.
3) Getting shoved off the banking in Turn 4 at Daytona.
4) Stuck throttle at Thunderhill.
5) Broken shock mount and shock lodged in the side of the fuel cell at VIR.
Just a part of racing. All were minor with no injuries and very little equipment damage.

my track time is limited, but 3 weeks ago i was going flat out at the former F1 track of zandvoord doing around 140mph, when i went full brake but to late to slow douwn to enter the ""Tarzan"" corner i realized i was going way to fast and would most likely not make it and was going to crash. in a split sec i realized to shift one more gear back(tr2004r ) and put more braking presure on my back wheels""it workt"" i ""just"" made it around that corner........

My most recent was at RTTC, when I came into a fast turn and had no brakes, luckily I realized it soon enough and there was plenty of run-off, so I down shifted and coasted her down.

Mine isn't road racing ,But still pretty scary.
I was at Atlanta dragway. It was a friday night test and tune. There was a rail in the right lane me in the left.
We both did our burnouts everything was fine. We launched. I just had hit 3rd the a blur of white came in to the corner of my eye and then this rail was in my lane into the wall. The driver compartment was sliding broadways down my lane. I have not idea how I got stopped,But I did. I needed new underwear before I could continue the T&T. LOL,

For me it would be in a Drag Race. We were at the track on a Funday Sunday (grudge race day). There were lots of imports there so they did not really do a good prep on the track. I tried to run the nitrous, had problems and decided I would run motor all day..............UNTIL a yellow 69 Camaro goes out of his way, goes around cars to line up with me. He has a 565Ci compression motor with a big hit of nitrous, mine is a little small block pump gas motor with nitrous. He has a beuitful car and a bad attitude, has been talking **** about my car and how he is going to stomp my ass when his car is finished!
I see his helper turn on his nitrous just before we pull into the burnout box. I am screaming to Michael in my helmet, muffled by the helmet, TURN ON THE NITROUS! No dad, you said you weren't going to do it. Turn on the f in nitrous before I get out and kick your ass! LOL!
Long story short, I covered him by a nose. I went through the traps sideways, the announcer says, he Frank, there is a scratch on your drivers door! LOL! meaning I was so sideways he could see my door!
But I won! A highly testosterone driven moment! And completly stupid!

Back in the Superbike days at a heat race at Mosport.....laps winding down....saw a guy up ahead that I thought I could catch before the end of the LONG back straight....
all the way up through the gears, by the time I hit 6th gear I caught his draft at about 145 mph and was pulling him pretty good.....I pulled out to skin by him on the right....just when I did that the guy comes up out of his tuck with his front wheel in a blur.....the guy looses it right beside me like 1.5ft away!.....the front end digs in and the bike starts doing a cartwheel in slow motion at 150 mph and comes down right on the instruments and fairing....the front end explodes when it hits the pavement and pieces hit my leg and bike.....I'm like HOLY S*IT!!! and twist the throttle even harder but its already WFO but I manage to get away.....I'm thinking "this guy's got to be dead Whoa!!"
then reality kicks in and I realize I'm WAY off line for the 5th gear right hander at the end of the straight and its coming up FAST!...totally over react, grab a huge handful of brakes and chatter the back wheel and cant turn....by the time I gather it up I'm on the paint on the OTHER side of the track but I managed to stay upright.....get around to the stripe and of course the race is red flagged and pull in.....almost couldn't release the death grip I had on the bars....
the guy?.....took him away in the ambulance he didn't hit any thing just tumbled had a broken collarbone and and two broken wrists.... I saw the bike and the whole front fork/front wheel assy had separated from the rest of the bike.....no tank, seat, tail section in sight
I found out later the back mount of his steering damper had came off and was flopping around but he thought he would just finish the race....
so there you go.....I have a few more
