Ok after selling a crap load of parts, 2 shells , Gina's Honda, trading my Chevelle for the dream car and finishing some small projects the driveway was short of a gas minded commuter for Gina.
After looking at newer Honda's, passing on a couple Audi A4's and S4's we came to a compromise...something SHE wants so she will keep it and is decent on gas we came up with a 4th gen. Her dream is to own a Z28 from every generation. After searching, test drive after test drive we came up with this.
Its a 2K Z-28. 2nd owned by a 56 year old bench racer who used it as a 40 mile a day commuter. We are very happy with it and its a joy to drive. He said he got 26mpg out of it but the best she could muster was 23mpg...not too bad for a V8 Camaro. Tony (nine ball) has been a real bad influence. theres more info on my homepage if you like.

Vince,
I just wonder how much you will "improve" the mileage, because I can already hear you explaining to her how you need to "tune" it.
"Yes honey, a procharger will help the gas mileage, and they make this computer retuning clip that will help also......."

naw Rick, the only thing swinging in it are the keys in the ignition. :hammer:
hey Bill, see actually asked me how a Magna charger would fit with the stock hood. I regret this thing is staying stock-ish for awhile. Maybe bigger tires for now?
Hey Jeff, yeah Im taking some time off after Mikes project to get some of my projects going.
Seriously this time....official pecking order: 72 Ragnova sell , 69 TransAm sell , 66 Cuda sell , 67 Chevy II sell , 70 335Z28 keep , 71 Cuda keep , 71 315 Nova keep, 65 Buick keep , 65 Fastback keep , 55 Nomad keep , 69 CamaroZ28 keep ...do you see a pattern? LOL I've got some work to do. might have to get an apprentice/ intern.

Heh... Bill doesn't know Gina at all now does he? SHE'S the one that will be modifying it. It's Vince's full time job to keep her from doing anything to it!!! Congrats on the purchase Vince. I can't wait to see it.

Nice! LS1 f-bodies are THE best deal on the used market when it comes to bang for the buck. These cars are a blast to drive even when stock.
