Hey guys, tried searching for instructions and tips how to convert drum brakes to a set of C5 brakes ,

Should I buy a generic disc brake conversion first and then upgrade rotors and calipers? Would that eliminate the hassle of dealing with machining, pulling axles and replacing studs ?

Thanks.

I just bought a set of turned down front hubs for my chevelle and got the Kore3 Bracket for the C5 caliper and then got a set of Brackets made for rear ($10.00) Test mule here and they fit perfect. I measure rear axle flange area where studs go and they fit the specs for the rotors. I have yet to tst package cause car is getting body work etc but so far so good. I would talk to Tobin from Kore3 if you want the true facts!

be prepared that you might have to space the rear disc backing plate to center the caliper properly. Some cars took 3/16" and a few went with a 1/4" spacer. the guy in the last link said he did not require a spacer at all.
