I don't remember the issue, but Bob got upset over our "Political Correctness" here. Anyone that knows Bob, knows he tells it 100% like he thinks and you have no question about where he stands or what he thinks. He was told to calm down about something, and decided he would just stop posting. I will see if I can get him back over here. Just don't take anything he says personally. Now that we have a political section, he will be all about that...haha

I didn't care for him when I first met him because he kinda had an arrogance about him. I'm not one who deals with arrogance/ego, etc etc. I've met him once or twice since then and he was a completely different person. I guess it may have been because the folks I was around didn't take his sh*t and he knew it.

I don't think arrogance is the word, and will tell you why. I have spent a lot of time with Bob and certainly had him bitch, and talk about my cars. HOWEVER, nothing he has ever said was wrong. The GTO seats DO look like RV seats. He hates exhaust systems that hang down, and will tell you so. He does have the eye for what is RIGHT, and knows cool when he sees it. I love to go with him to say Columbus Good Guys because he will point out cool stuff I drive right by. He will pick a car pretty hard, but that helps you spot stuff too. The only thing about going with him somewhere is he knows everyone on the planet, so you don't get much car looking done until you just leave him somewhere.

I guess what I am trying to say is this, it isn't arrogance or bragging if you can back it up, and I have never seen him say or do anything he couldn't back up. He is like alot of others I know, if he ain't giving you a hard time, he probably don't like you.

You are correct! If you know this many people and they stop to talk to ya, they can put aside all the BS. and see the other side.

I've never met the man in person..but Bob reminds me of how my grandfather was and who told me one time.." I've been there..done that..and have forgot more than you'll ever learn" I always thought he was a little sarcastic and mean (my grandfather..:)) for saying that to a 18 year old kid at the time, But now that Iam older...he was right.

Bob reminds me of that..somebody who has been around,maybe made some mistakes at times and learned from them and doesn't tolerate ignorance or any BS, Like I said I've never met Bob or have talked to him personally,but from his post and remarks on topics I get that from him, I think its another term for "wise" and "having some salt" as my grandfather would say.

Last I knew, as of Wednesday, he was having cars delivered that he bought at Mecum.
