I did a short search and realized that there is way too much to read to find what I'm looking for. Does anybody have any info on what specs work best for aligning a 69 Camaro Z/28 with 235-60-15 Goodyear Eagle GT2 radial tires and stock suspension? The only mods are Energy suspension urethane bushings. I aligned it about 6 years ago when I finished the restoration and found the steering too light and twitchy at high speed. By twitchy I mean the car reacts quickly with not much steering input but feels unstable like it wants to roll over. The steering pump may be the cause of the light feel (too much pressure) but the twitchy feel is the alignment I'm sure. I don't have anyone around here locally that I trust to align the car without using proven specs so can anybody give me some ideas for nice handling Touring car?

The specs I used were...

Left Caster 1.40*
Left Camber -0.31*
Left Toe in 0.05"

Right Caster 2.02*
Right Camber -0.39*
Right Toe in 0.05" Total 0.10"

Factory specs are...
Caster Pos 1/2* +/- 1/2*
Camber Pos 1/4* +/- 1/2*
Toe in 1/8" to 1/4" Total.

Thanks
Jim

More caster...but with a stock setup I'm not sure you can get more.

Yeah I know. I don't really want to install off set upper control arm shafts if I can avoid it!

I was able to get 4* of caster on each side of my 68 with stock arms.

More caster will minimize the "twitchiness". I was able to get about 2.5 degrees on my 69 and almost 3 on a 68 I was working on the other day....

Thanks all for the replies. I'll have to see what I can get when it's on the rack. Difficult to get a shop that will let me observe up close as I don't have a rack of my own. Problem is that most of the guys doing alignments are half as old as the car and they will only use stock specs. I'll post back when I get it done.
