I wanted to give my engine specs and see if anyone had any recommendations to improve the performance/HP. I added alot of info on the car was not forsure. I know there are so many performance guys on this site that you sometimes need info to evaluate. I was told I should be around 500 HP fly wheel?? But is there something here that is worth taking a look at? I would like to eventually put a pro charger on it or even NOS. Please give me your recommendations and opinions. I would like to run the 1/4 in the 11's Thanks Oscar

That's a pretty good match-up. I would tend to widen out the lobe seperation on the cam a little - probably more in the 110-112 Range. The 108LS you are sporting now is going to have a REALLY nasty idle and probably be a bit sluggish off the line.

I would say that if you are really wanting to do a supercharger, than the compression needs to come down to sub 9.5-1 But you can always swap to larger chamber heads later to do that.

Don't run the MSD HEI, you are better off with a small cap Pro-Billet Distributor like the 85551. Run an 8207 E-Core coil

Ditto except for the MSD, if you already have it keep it, if not either brand will work fine. Depending on what kind of rear tire that you run you should be able to run high elevens.

Sounds good. I already have this set-up. As far as the HEI whats the benefit to the other set-up. Funny you mentioned it, because I was thinking about changing to a smaller one (clearance issues), but I did'nt know there was a benefit to it. The engine runs good pretty responsive was just thinking there might be something I'm overlooking. With like the cam set-up compared to my heads ect or something that would give it more. I know know that my compression is high to go procharger, but I was thinking I could get away with 5-6 psi. As far a NOS I have read that the 10-8 I would be okay. But again I'm pretty new to the performance part. One of the reasons I'm turning to you guys to evaluate my set-up. Also with what I have would it benifit me to use 1.6 roller rockers vs my 1.5. I also have seen people run both 1.5/ and 1.6??

Dale, I see you say I should be able to run high 11's thats good news to me. I will get what ever set it takes, any suggestions?

I would go ahead and buy the 1.6 to 1 rockers, check piston to valve clearance before you run them, different ratios are a great way to fine tune your cam to your combination. Start out by trying the 1.6's on the intake with the 1.5's on the exhaust then try this in reverse and then run the 1.6's straight across and see which combo runs the best, The best way to do this would be on a chassis dyno, if you don't have access or the $$ then you will have to go to the dragstrip or use seat of the pants method.

If you already have the HEI - than keep it. I would consider moving the coil off of the distributor cap to help with heat saturation.
In my experience 1.6 rockers by themselves won't buy you anything but potential valvetrain problems, that thing's already throwing the valves up near .600 and that's more than enough.

I'd say, save the ProCharger money; with that kind of compression you are already somewhat pushing your luck with pump-gas. The combo is pretty solid, go drive it.
If you really want to spend some cash, consider a F/I conversion and dyno tuning

All sounds good. I so soaking in all this good info. Hopefully it will help guide me on my next plan of action. As with all this its never enough. LOL Especially when I have a son that has a fox body mustang that I just can't allow him to stay ahead of me. LOL

I'd second the cam suggestion and also recommend an Air Gap to fatten up the bottom end and midrange..!
