I was wondering if anyone knows what the suspension and brake difference's are between the c5, c6 corvettes, between the base model and the z06 and z51. I tried doing a search but did not find anything. I know the z06 has bigger and better brakes. but not sure on the suspension difference.

IIRC they are the same arms and spindles, the track is wider on a ZO6 but it's the chassis that's wider. I'm guessing that bearings and bushings are dimensionally the same but different durometers and such.

Yes, arms and knuckles are the same between standard C5 and C5 Z06, but the bushings are a tad stiffer in the Z06.
C6 uses a slightly beefier design and different casting process. I prefer the C6 over the C5.
I wouldn't worry too much about finding a Z06 arm because the bushings are still very soft.

What is the difference between C5/C6 calipers? I thought i had had C5 calipers but they don't look like them.https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/04/1117091911-1.jpg
I was told they were early C6 calipers non ZO6. Whats the z51 package all about?

I thought the C5/C6 base-package calipers were the same...could be wrong.

C6 spindles are thicker at the brake mounting bosses to fix the C5 pad tapper issue. they are the same other than that.

As far as the C5/C6 calipers go...
The C6 are stiffer, but I believe everything else to be the same.

The Z51 package gave you drilled larger rotors, stiffer suspension and depending on year a p/s cooler.

Z51 also got an oil and trans cooler.

As for brakes between the C6 and the C6 Z51 the main difference is the following.
The calipers are exactly the same.
The Brackets are different, where the Z51 are slightly bigger to allow the use of the bigger rotors.
-C6-
Front 12.80" x 1.26"
Rear 12.00" x 1"
-Z51 -
Front 13.4" X 1.26"
Rear 13" X 1"
The C5 calipers have the fins on the top of the caliper, and the C5 Z06 are painted red.
Maybe Tobin from www.kore3.com can jump in and clarify.

z-51 has 13.400 front rotors, with correct abutments, the calipers are the same
stock c6- 12.8 rotor 2 piston caliper
z-51-13.400 rotor and 2 piston caliper with different abutment
z06- 6 piston caliper with 14 inch rotor

If you look on Kore 3 website, the kits show 3 different kits, 325mm/12.8", 340mm/13.4", 355mm/14". and the 355mm uses either a 4 piston caliper OR a radial mounted 6 piston caliper(early Z06 or later Z6). The big ticket issue is that 325mm will be cleared by MOST 17" wheels, but according to my research that with the 340mm and 355mm setups you will be required to use 18" wheels.
My '84 Caprice is going to get the 355mm brakes when I up grade but due to wheel/tire limitations my '77 Monza will be running the 325mm units and the fact that my Monza is lighter than a 'Vette the 325mm should be plenty, and my Caprice is slightly heavier than a 'Vette the 355mm will be more suited to the task.
