Congrats to Bill Howell, Brian Finch, Shafi Keisler, and Albert got a nice spread in the June Hot Rod! Great looking pics...especially Bill's garage/shop. I'm jealous!
John Parsons and Frank Serafine got a spot in Super Chevy with their new '69 Camaro project "Unfair". Man! I'll say that Camaro was definitely treat unfairly. Good luck with that one. Frank built Empty Nest, so I know they'll get it done.

So much cool nostalgic & vintage drag racing in each issue...I don't know where to start.

Congrats everyone.
Bill Howell is the only reason I would ever buy a Hot Rod Magazine. It'll be my first issue in about 6 years.

You're missing out...that's all I'll say...if you haven't read an issue in 6 years, what are you basing your opinion on?
A bunch has changed in 6 years...they even respect P-T cars now,lol.

Geez, thanks for the comments guys. Tony, if you buy a Hot Rod just because I am in it, you need to raise your standards....haha
I have had a scrip to Hot Rod for about a year now and really enjoy it. Though Protouring is not on the forefront there, there is always some interesting reading and all types of cars. I think as Protouring proves itself and lets everyone know we are more than Prostreet trailer queens, you will see PT emerge from the shadows there too. It was a great story about our trip and I am honored to share the pages with Brian and the rest of the ratpack.
Great time to have a driver guys, get out and :drive:

Agreed Bill,I read my issue cover to cover last night, the article on your trip was well written (loved the parachute in your garage:yum:) and your cars were painted in a very good light.
HRM has taken alot of heat (and rightfully so) for their past views of P-T cars but that attitude has certainly changed in my opinion...they're featured in almost every issue.
I'm into anything nostagic, especially drag racing,so Hot Rod is right up my alley there but it's the one magazine that I scribe to that features all kinds of cars...new and old...with well-written articles and killer pics.

Just got this months issue, congrats on the coverage. It was a great article. I've been thinking about taking the Camaro on a big trip, and this just makes me a little more eager to do so.
BTW has Brian officially been handed the media whore crown? That yellow Camaro has appeared in just about everything now, and rightfully so, although I don't think pictures do it justice. It really needs to be seen moving.

Congrats to both of you!!
I'll tell you why Finchy's getting the ink - he put his money where his mouth is and built a true street performance car that does everything it's supposed to do and does it well. He's at the events and driving cross country and is a shining example of what pro-touring is all about.
Bill is the man who started it all and I'm proud to say I'm buddies with both!! Way to go guys!

You guys are going to make me tear up.....do I need to make a speech or something.
In all seriousness this is great for our hobby and shows that even HRM will get behind us if we just go out and drive our junk. Let's fill these events up as everyone of them will have Magazine or TV people there to cover it. If you want your car to have a shot in the media bring it out and drive the wheels off it.
I am sure ole yeller will end up in another rag or two so don't think your stuff is not worthy of the ink. My car is far from a show machine, I just drive the ****e out of it.

Jimi is 100% correct. I am not doing anything special here, Just showing up anywhere and everywhere. The trend is shifting before our eyes and we need to take control and make it what we want. Trailers queens are out and road cars are way in.
