Hey All,

My name is Tom Bobolts and I currently work as a Staff Editor for powerTV. We publish a number of online automotive magazines, but that is another story.

I'm a big fan of the Pro-Touring movement. I think pro-touring will be a bigger help to the muscle car market than the way drag racing shaped and carried it in the 60s.

I recently had the chance to attend both the El Toro Run To The Coast Event and the GoodGuys Del Mar and had a blast! Having photographed drag racing for two years now, and never autocrossing, I didn't know what to expect. But it was the most fun I've had at an event in a while. Even got to take a ride in the Spectre El Camino.

As for my projects, I currently only have one right now, and it isn't one that you might expect. You see I wanted to combine my love for drag racing, autocross, and that I can do anything with anything kind of idea. So I'm building a 1982 Chevy Caprice Classic Station Wagon that will be designed to run on the street, strip, autocross track, and anything else I can think of.

I call it Project Grandpa, and you can see all the process so far by visiting Street Legal TV here (http://www.streetlegaltv.com/forum/project-grandpa.html).

I look forward to getting to know you guys and gals on here better, and learning more about pro-touring as a whole.

We'll I think I've rambled on enough,

See ya on the forums!

Welcome to the forum. It's way cool to have another B-Body box wagon on the site. If I can help in anyway let me know.

Now thats some big iron you plan to push around but kudos to you for giving it a shot! I too love the wagons and seriously considered building a bubble top wagon before I bought my car.
I will have to search for powertv and see what vids you guys offer. Always a sucker for car related tv!

Best thing I can say to do is check out my thread that is in my sig. After that if you have any questions just ask. BTW the swaybars that are currently on the car may be forsale if you're interested. I am not getting things done with the car done like I want and it is sitting most of the time. So might as well get rid of the parts that I don't need.

Thanks. Spohn Performance makes suspension for that chassis as I already have their rear suspension on the car.

What rim size are you running on the front? I've got to get some more meat under this beast!

Checkout streetlegaltv.com. That is our hot rod and muscle car site. Lots of good info there. You won't find too much on just powerTV as that is the company name. We publish a total of 5 magazines online, with three more coming soon!

I am running 18X9 with 5 in BS and 275/40-18's all around. The rear can take much wider. I also used an inch spacer in the rear to bring them out a bit. I think a 4-4.5 BS in the rear would be better. I do have a slight rub on the swaybar in the front at full lock.
